ABOUT THE ARTIST... Juan Carlos Navarro Sánchez is a Mexican visual artist born in Guadalajara in 1975. From a young age, he demonstrated remarkable talent in drawing and painting, experimenting with pastel, charcoal, acrylic, and oil techniques. Today, he has developed a unique, self-taught style that blends these mediums, expressing his creative spirit throughout his career. His most notable collections include Sonorous Kinetic Image, Nonlinear Linear, and Naturales. In Sonorous Kinetic Image, Navarro combines his background in engineering and architecture with Cubist influences to create dynamic visual compositions inspired by jazz music. His works evoke the rhythms of saxophones, pianos, and percussion instruments, reflecting the vibrant energy of iconic American jazz cities. Nonlinear Linear explores the intersection of form and spirituality, blending graphic elements and painting to represent the unity between the physical and spiritual worlds. In Naturales, Navarro captures the continuous transformation of life and the deep connection between humans and nature. Through abstraction, he reveals the spirit emerging from the natural world, emphasizing unity and the ongoing evolution of life. Additionally, Navarro is an accomplished engraver, experimenting with various etching techniques and color interventions to enrich his work. His art invites viewers into an ethereal universe where matter and spirit merge, expressing themes of unity, eternity, and the invisible made visible. Navarro’s work has been exhibited widely across Mexico and internationally, including shows in the United States, the United Kingdom, and France.
